Acrobat is Emile's Crobat in his Let's Play of Pokémon Platinum. He was the second Pokémon to join Emile's team.

Pokémon Platinum[]

Episode 3: Watch Out for Clowns[]

While exploring the Ravaged Path, Emile encountered the Zubat at Level 6, who would later come to be known as Acrobat, and sent out Bodhi. Bodhi did some damage to Zubat with Tackle, weakening it to just below half. The Bat Pokémon responded with Leech Life, doing only two HP of damage to Bodhi and restoring its own HP to the low green. After one failed Heal Ball and failed attempt by Zubat to confuse Bodhi with Supersonic, Emile caught him with his second Heal Ball. It was announced in the episode of his capture that Zubat's nickname would be selected from fan suggestions.

Emile then traveled back to Jubilife City through Route 204. While on Route 204, Emile battled Lass Samantha, and sent Acrobat out to battle Samantha's Budew. The battle was tedious, as he could only directly damage Budew with Leech Life. As such, Acrobat relied on using Supersonic to confuse Budew in order for it to hit itself. Luckily, his quad resistance to Grass kept the damage he took from the Bud Pokémon's Absorb minimal, even when amplified by Growth. The Grass Type also pointlessly used Water Sport during the battle. Budew ultimately knocked itself out from the confusion, but not before Acrobat used eight of his PP for Leech Life.

Acrobat grew to Level 7 from an offscreen wild encounter on Route 204. He next battled Youngster Tyler and his Magikarp. Even with the Fish Pokémon only being able to use Splash, Zubat struggled to defeat it, exhausting his Power Points for Leech Life in the process. This forced him to wait for Magikarp hit itself in confusion from Supersonic until it knocked itself out. Emile battled Lass Sarah afterwards, who used Shinx. Acrobat was sent out, but presumably switched out for Bodhi.

After healing at Jubilife City's Pokémon Center, Emile went to the Trainers' School and battled School Kids Harrison and Christine (who respectively had Starly and Bidoof). Acrobat lost most of his HP in those battles, and was switched out for Bodhi so he could help him finish them.

Following another stop at the Pokémon Center to heal, Emile found Barry on Route 203 and battled him for the second time. Acrobat took the field against Barry's Starly and promptly confused it with Supersonic. This caused the Bird Pokémon to hurt itself on the same turn, taking off a small amount of HP. Emile then switched Acrobat out in favor of Bodhi, but he would grow to Level 8 once Starly was defeated. Acrobat was sent out again for Barry's Chimchar. He missed with Supersonic twice in a row, with Chimchar using Leer on both of those turns to lower the Poison/Flying Type's Defense. Fortunately, Acrobat would connect with Supersonic on his third try, after Chimchar used a third Leer. The Fire Monkey also hit itself from the confusion when Emile switched out Acrobat for Bodhi again.

Episode 4: Route or Burgh?[]

While Emile was traveling to Oreburgh City through Route 203, Acrobat helped Emile by battling Pokémon Trainers and wild Pokémon. The first trainer was Youngster Michael, who led with Kricketot. Acrobat immediately used Supersonic on the Bug Type to confuse it. While it broke through the confusion, it only used Growl. Emile then switched out Acrobat for Bodhi to finish it off. Acrobat also battled Michael's own Zubat, only taking a small bit of damage (as Emile probably switched him out for Bodhi again). Emile switched trained Acrobat again for both Youngster Dallas (who had a Shinx) and Youngster Sebastian (who had a Machop), being elevated to Level 9 from the latter trainer and learning Astonish.

Acrobat next fought Lass Madeline and her Psyduck by himself. He tried his newly learned Astonish on the Duck, which flinched it as Emile hoped it would. He then confused it with Supersonic, only for Psyduck to hit him with Scratch (which only did five HP of damage). The Poison/Flying Type used Astonish a second time, which flinched Psyduck again. While a third Astonish didn't flinch it, the attack reduced the Water Type to the yellow. Psyduck also hit itself from the confusion, putting it into the mid yellow area. Acrobat next used Leech Life to reduce Psyduck into the red, while it retaliated with Scratch after breaking through the confusion again. This left him with 16/27 HP. Luckily, the Bat Pokémon got off one more flinch with Astonish before finally defeating Psyduck with another Leech Life (putting him to 17 Hit Points).

Before entering Oreburgh Gate, Acrobat encountered a wild Bidoof and two more Pokémon offscreen. While he ran from Bidoof and one of the offscreen encounters, he took a bit of damage in the other wild encounter when he defeated it. In Oreburgh Gate itself, Acrobat ran into a wild Zubat. He missed with Supersonic on his first attempt, but only took one Hit Point of damage from the opposing Zubat's Leech Life. After Acrobat successfully landed Supersonic on his second attempt, the wild Zubat hit itself. It would then fall to half HP from Acrobat's Astonish and hitting itself again. While the opposing Bat snapped out of confusion once it was in the mid yellow from another Astonish, it merely used another Leech Life. Following that, Acrobat's next Astonish got a critical to KO it.

After healing in Oreburgh City's Pokémon Center, Emile went onto Route 207 to find some wild Pokémon. The first encounter was a Machop, which Acrobat failed to confuse on his first attempted Supersonic, causing the Fighting Type to use Leer. Emile switched him out for Bodhi, but Acrobat was raised to Level 10 after Bodhi defeated Machop. In another battle with a Geodude, Emile yet again switch trained Acrobat by sending in Bodhi. Emile briefly went back into Oreburgh City but returned to Route 207 to catch a Geodude to show to a man in Oreburgh. The first Pokémon found was a Ponyta, which Acrobat confused with Supersonic and caused it to hit itself before Emile switched him out for Bodhi. He also battled more offscreen wild Pokémon (taking a Hit Point of damage) before Emile found a Geodude (with Acrobat almost reaching Level 11 by that time). Acrobat weakened the Rock Pokémon to the yellow before Emile's Poké Ball succeeded in catching it.

Episode 5: Roark the Dragon[]

While Emile was traversing through the Oreburgh Mine in search of Gym Leader Roark, he trained Acrobat in some battles. Acrobat was initially sent out in the battle with Worker Mason and his Geodude, but was quickly switched out for Bodhi. However, the split experience from Geodude's KO elevated Acrobat to Level 11. Emile continued switch training Acrobat for a wild Geodude (which he ran into immediately after his Repel wore off), and for Worker Colin's Geodude. Emile did switch in Acrobat again for Colin's Machop, which he likely defeated by himself.

After Emile found Roark in the mine, the latter returned to his post in the Oreburgh City Gym, which Emile would challenge after healing. Due to the Gym specializing in Rock Types, Emile switch trained Acrobat again for both of the Gym's trainers, while letting Bodhi be the main offensive force. Bodhi defeated Youngster Jonathan (with a Geodude), and Youngster Darius (with a Geodude and an Onix). Acrobat grew to Level 12 after Darius was beaten.

Emile began his battle against Roark with Acrobat, who faced Roark's Geodude. Acrobat tried to use Supersonic to confuse Geodude but missed, allowing the Rock Pokémon to set up Stealth Rock. This prompted Emile to withdraw him for Bodhi. He would send out Acrobat again for Roark's Cranidos, with the Bat Pokémon losing a quarter of his HP to the Stealth Rock switching in due to his Flying Type. Acrobat attempted to get off a Supersonic again, which backfired as Cranidos was faster and defeated him with its Headbutt.

Once Bodhi managed to win the Gym Battle, Emile returned to the Oreburgh Pokémon Center to not only heal, but have a battle with Marriland. Emile began the battle with Acrobat, who faced Starwing (Devin's Starly). Acrobat connected with Supersonic immediately, causing Starwing to take off about a third of its HP when he hurt himself from the confusion. Emile then switched out Acrobat for Bodhi, but Devin would switch too, going over to his Chimchar: Firebutt.

Acrobat retook the field after Firebutt knocked out Bodhi. He proceeded to confuse the Fire Monkey with Supersonic, but he broke through and used Taunt. Emile then planned to have Acrobat use Astonish, which failed when Devin switched back over to Starwing, resulting in him taking no damage due to it being part Normal Type. With the Taunt still in effect, Acrobat had to use Leech Life after Starwing damaged him with Quick Attack, which only did one HP of damage to the Bird Pokémon and likewise only healed himself by one HP, leaving him at 2/3 of his HP. At the end of the turn, Acrobat's Taunt wore off. Emile had Acrobat use Supersonic again, which connected after Starwing dropped him to the yellow from another Quick Attack. Starwing would then hit himself in confusion twice in a row, dropping him to the red (even with Acrobat again doing minimal damage with Leech Life, and healing himself minimally too). In spite of Acrobat's tremendous effort, he would be knocked out when Starwing broke through the confusion and landed a Wing Attack to end the battle, giving Devin the victory. Interestingly, Acrobat and Starwing had a Speed tie, given how Starwing went first that turn and didn't use Quick Attack (whereas Acrobat went first at the beginning of the battle).

Episode 6: Living the Jubilife[]

While Emile was back in Oreburgh Gate, he battled Camper Curtis (mostly offscreen), once again switch training between Acrobat and Bodhi. He also encountered a wild Zubat with Acrobat as he was about to go to the extra area in the cave (blocked by Rock Smash), only to realize that Derpidius (who had Rock Smash) was in the PC.

On the way back to Jubilife City on Route 203, Emile battled Lass Kaitlin with Acrobat, taking a decent amount of damage in the process. Acrobat grew to Level 13 during the battle and learned Bite.

Back in Jubilife, Emile teamed up with Dawn in order to defend Professor Rowan from two Team Galactic Grunts attempting to steal his research. Acrobat was sent out alongside Dawn's Piplup to battle the Grunts' Stunky and Glameow. Due to Emile forgetting to heal at the Pokémon Center beforehand, Acrobat was at half HP. Emile healed him to full health before Glameow's Fake Out brought him to around 3/4 HP. Meanwhile, Stunky poisoned Piplup with Poison Gas before the Penguin Pokémon used Bubble. The attack took off a small bit of HP from both Glameow and Stunky, before Piplup lost a chip of its own health to the poison.

Acrobat next confused Glameow with Supersonic, whilst Stunky lowered his Defense with Screech. Glameow would then hurt itself from the confusion. At that time, Piplup's next Bubble scored a critical hit on Stunky, putting it along with Glameow in the yellow. After the Water Type was damaged from the poison again, Emile switched out Acrobat for Bodhi.

Episode 7: Madame Floaroma[]

While on the north end of Route 204 (past Ravaged Path), Emile used Acrobat to battle a wild Kricketot. Acrobat knocked out the Bug Type with two Bites. Even with it storing energy with Bide, Acrobat defeated it before Kricketot could unleash the damage stored.

Emile next fought the Team Galactic Grunt at the entrance to the Valley Windworks. Acrobat took the field against the Grunt's Glameow, which used Growl before it was confused by Supersonic. Despite the confusion, Glameow struck Acrobat with Scratch before Acrobat's retaliatory Bite only did a small amount of damage due to his Attack being lowered by the Growl. This prompted Emile to switch out Acrobat for Bodhi, but the experience split raised Acrobat to Level 14.

After Emile healed at the Pokémon Center in Floaroma Town, he went to battle the two Galactic Grunts in Floaroma Meadow. Acrobat was initially sent out to fight the first Grunt's Stunky. However, he missed with Supersonic four times in a row to Emile's frustration (ironically, Emile had just praised Acrobat for connecting with Supersonic so often). This resulted in Stunky (which already used Focus Energy) using Screech twice to lower Acrobat's Defense four stages total, and a three hit Fury Swipes combo that almost took out Acrobat due to the Screeches. Not wanting Acrobat to faint and lose happiness, Emile switched him out for Bodhi.

Acrobat was sent out again for the second Galactic Grunt, who had two Zubats of his own. With him extremely weakened, Emile used a Potion to heal Acrobat to 25/37 HP, while only taking one HP of damage from the opposing Zubat's Leech Life. With him faster, Acrobat was able to knock out the other Zubat with three Bites, again losing one HP to Leech Life and breaking through the confusion when he was confused by the opposing Zubat's Supersonic.

Since Bodhi was also weakened (and poisoned too), Emile kept Acrobat in battle for the Grunt's second Zubat. Acrobat would hit himself in confusion and take a Leech Life (losing a combined 7 HP). While he would avoid hitting himself and do just less than half to the opponent's Zubat with Bite, it would do three HP to him with Astonish. Acrobat would then lose another combined seven Hit Points from hitting himself and a Leech Life, leaving him at only six HP. This forced Emile to use another Potion. Acrobat was at 23/37 Hit Points after the Potion and taking another Astonish. Fortunately, he would snap out of confusion and bring the other Zubat to red health. Following one more Leech Life, Acrobat would use one more Bite to finally defeat the Zubat and win the rather tedious battle.

Episode 8: The Wind Worker[]

During offscreen training, Emile trained Acrobat to Level 15.

Emile fought the Team Galactic Grunts inside the Valley Windworks. Acrobat dueled with the first Grunt's Zubat, defeating it with three Bites (the last being a critical), whilst only taking a small amount from a Bite from the foe's Zubat, which also missed with its attempted Supersonic. When battling the second Galactic Grunt, Acrobat immediately landed Supersonic on the Grunt's Glameow. Despite the confusion, Glameow struck with a critical Scratch, which reduced Acrobat to 15/39 Hit Points. Emile switched Acrobat out for Bodhi to finish off the Catty, but the Bat Pokémon would grow to Level 16 from the split experience.

Once Emile healed offscreen, he battled against Galactic Commander Mars. Acrobat fought against Mars's own Zubat. Both Bat Pokémon used Bite on each other repeatedly. Due to Acrobat being one level higher, he was faster and did more damage with his own attack compared to the opposing Zubat's, which fell after four hits. However, Acrobat was fairly weakened after taking three Bites. With Mars sending out her Purugly, Emile switched out Acrobat for Derpidius so he could heal him with a Super Potion. As a result, Purugly used its Fake Out on Derpidius during the turn when Emile healed Acrobat.

Acrobat reentered the battle to fight Mars's Purugly, which was faster and took out nearly half of his health with Scratch before he managed to confuse it with Supersonic. Purugly hit itself twice in a row, with Acrobat following with Bite on each turn to bring it to the yellow. However, this activated the Feline's Oran Berry to heal itself to the mid green zone. A third Bite from Acrobat, combined with Purugly hitting itself yet again put the latter's health back to the yellow (less than what it had before the Oran Berry healed it). Attempting to outpredict it, Emile had Acrobat use Supersonic again. The move backfired, as Purugly was still confused. It also broke through the confusion to leave Acrobat with only four HP with another Scratch. Furthermore, even if the Feline did snap out of confusion that turn, Acrobat missed with Supersonic. Emile reluctantly allowed Acrobat to faint to Purugly's next Scratch when it finally snapped out of confusion on the next turn. Despite knowing that Acrobat's happiness would go down, Emile decided it was the best move to make so Bodhi could switch in safely to finish off the formidable Feline.

After Emile defeated Mars and drove Team Galactic away from the Valley Windworks, he healed at Floaroma Town's Pokémon Center. Afterwards, he checked the Honey Trees where he had slathered Honey previously for wild Pokémon. The first encounter, from the tree at the Valley Windworks was a Combee. Acrobat knocked out the Bee Pokémon with one Bite. At the tree in the Floaroma Meadow, Acrobat used two Bites to beat the Cherubi Emile found, which flinched from the first hit.

Episode 9: Wingin' It[]

On Route 205, Emile fought Camper Jacob and his Ponyta using Acrobat. The Fire Horse was faster and repeatedly used Ember, taking off 10 of Acrobat's HP each time. Meanwhile, he weakened Ponyta to the yellow with three Bites before Emile switched him out in favor of Bodhi.

After healing at the Pokémon Center, Emile battled Hiker Daniel and his three Geodudes. Acrobat was switch trained for the first and third Geodudes, while Emile forgot to switch back to him for the second.

The next trainer Emile fought was Picnicker Siena, who began with Bidoof. Acrobat knocked it out with five uses of Bite. The damage output from Bite was hindered a bit from Bidoof's Growl lowering Acrobat's Attack, and its Defense Curl boosting its Defense. Luckily, he only lost a combined 12 HP from Bidoof's two Tackles. The resulting experience from Bidoof's faint raised Acrobat to Level 17, when he learned the longly coveted Wing Attack. Emile excitedly deleted Astonish in favor of the first STAB attack Acrobat could learn. He then switched out Acrobat for Bodhi when Siena sent out her Pachirisu.

Emile next fought Aroma Lady Elizabeth and her Roselia to test out Acrobat's newly learned Wing Attack. The move nearly took out the Rose in one shot, while Acrobat's quad resistance to Grass only cost him three HP from a Mega Drain. One more use of Wing Attack defeated Roselia.

Acrobat lost a small amount of damage in an omitted wild battle. Unfortunately, he would then be knocked out in the battle with Picnicker Karina. While Acrobat nearly took out Karina's Piplup, the Penguin would get a critical hit with Bubble to deplete his HP, to Emile's chagrin. Thankfully, Emile was then able to heal at the rest house before the entrance to Eterna Forest.

Episode 10: Chansey of a Lifetime[]

In Eterna Forest, Emile met and teamed up with Cheryl to get through. With Acrobat in the lead, he encountered two wild Pokémon simultaneously along with Cheryl (who had her Chansey): Bidoof and Budew. Acrobat easily took out the latter with a critical Wing Attack, whilst Chansey did more than half to Bidoof with Egg Bomb (which was also a critical hit). Acrobat took a small amount of damage from Bidoof's Tackle before he finished it with Wing Attack. Thanks to Cheryl accompanying Emile, Acrobat was healed after the battle.

The first trainer battle in Eterna Forest was against Bug Catcher Jack (who led with Wurmple) and Lass Briana (who had Pachirisu). Acrobat immediately lost more than half his HP to Pachirisu's Spark, which also paralyzed him. Luckily, he wasn't fully paralyzed and delivered a Wing Attack to one shot Wurmple. Cheryl's Chansey then used Egg Bomb, which only partially damaged Pachirisu. After Jack sent out his Silcoon, Emile switched out Acrobat for Bodhi. Acrobat would still gain experience from both Pachirisu and Silcoon when they were knocked out, being elevated to Level 19 off of the former. Later in the battle, Bodhi was KO'd by Jack's Beautifly. Since Acrobat was already weakened, Emile sent out Derpidius as a sacrifice to stall time for Cheryl's Chansey to get the KO on Beautifly. Luckily, Acrobat was completely healed once the battle was over.

The next pair of trainers were Psychics Lindsey and Elijah, who each had an Abra. Both of them used Hidden Power which was Fighting Type. Their attacks took off about a third of Chansey's HP combined before Acrobat's Bite one shot Elijah's Abra. Chansey also missed with its attempted Egg Bomb on that turn. The Normal Type would be dropped to low green HP from another Fighting Type Hidden Power before Acrobat used Bite again to KO Lindsey's Abra.

Emile next battled Bug Catcher Phillip by himself. Acrobat easily beat Phillip's Wurmple with one Wing Attack. Phillip's Dustox went down to two Wing Attacks, between which it used a super effective Confusion on Acrobat (taking off 18 of his 47 HP). After Dustox fainted, Acrobat was raised to Level 20. He finally proceeded to take down Phillip's Cascoon with another Wing Attack which got a critical.

Bug Catcher Donald was another trainer Emile fought alone. Donald had two Burmys, one was in Sand Cloak form and the other in Trash Cloak form. Both went down to one Wing Attack each from Acrobat after they initially stalled with Protect (the Sand Cloak used Protect twice and the Trash Cloak once).

The following battle had Emile battling alongside Cheryl again, as they fought Psychics Kody and Rachael, who had Meditite and Psyduck respectively. Acrobat left Meditite with a sliver of red health from his Wing Attack. While the Fighting/Psychic Type would buff its Attack with Meditate, Chansey's Egg Bomb promptly defeated it. Meanwhile, Psyduck did more than half of Acrobat's health with Confusion, which also confused him. This forced Emile to switch out Acrobat for Bodhi, but the former would grow to Level 21 after the latter defeated Psyduck. Acrobat also learned Confuse Ray at that level, for which Emile quickly deleted the very inaccurate Supersonic.

In another tandem wild battle, Emile and Cheryl found a Cascoon and Bidoof. Acrobat was quick to one shot the former wild Pokémon with Wing Attack, while Chansey took off a small amount of Bidoof's HP with its Egg Bomb. Bidoof then used Defense Curl before Emile cut out the rest of the battle.

After reaching the exit to Eterna Forest, Cheryl gave Emile a Soothe Bell as thanks for accompanying her. Emile equipped said Soothe Bell on Acrobat to increase his happiness.

On the north end of Route 205, Emile fought Fisherman Zachary using Acrobat. He took a noticeable amount of damage in the cut battle, possibly against Zachary's Bidoof. Emile later healed his entire team at the Pokémon Center upon arriving in Eterna City.

Episode 11: Eterna Life[]

At the Name Rater's house in Eterna City, Emile officially gives Acrobat his nickname.

In the northern cave of Mt. Coronet, Emile was searching for a Cleffa to catch for his team. Acrobat took a decent amount of damage from the offscreen wild encounters. Emile eventually found the Cleffa who would become Supernova. Acrobat weakened her to below half HP with Bite, while she also used Bite via Copycat (which also put Acrobat in the yellow due to the damage he took earlier). Emile then successfully caught Cleffa in a Dusk Ball.

After Emile healed in Eterna City, he returned to Route 205 to battle Fisherman Joseph and his Goldeen. Acrobat was switched in from Supernova (who only did a small bit to Goldeen's HP), losing 10 of his 51 HP to a Water Pulse. He proceeded to defeat the Goldfish with two Wing Attacks and a Bite, while taking 11 HP from a Horn Attack (after Goldeen pointlessly used Water Sport on the previous turn). The resulting experience raised Acrobat to Level 22, after which he evolved into Golbat.

Episode 12: Tending to Gardenia[]

The newly evolved Acrobat proceeded to make short work of every trainer in the Eterna City Gym, which specialized in Grass Type Pokémon. Every Pokémon used by the Gym trainers fell to one Wing Attack each.

Despite Acrobat's dominance, Emile decided to open his fight against Gym Leader Gardenia with Bodhi. Acrobat entered the battle to fight Gardenia's Roserade after it defeated Bodhi. With it at less than half of its HP, Acrobat quickly finished off the Rose Pokémon with a Wing Attack, growing to Level 23 as a result. Gardenia next sent out her Turtwig, which was already weakened by Bodhi. Acrobat depleted its health with Wing Attack (that scored a useless critical). He proceeded to KO Gardenia's Cherrim with two Wing Attacks, while only taking five HP from a quad resisted Grass Knot. Acrobat's continued dominance would win Emile the battle and the Forest Badge.

Emile later explored the Old Chateau in Eterna Forest. On the way out, Emile encountered a wild Gastly. Acrobat switched in from Supernova, after which Gastly locked him into battle with Mean Look. Emile cut the rest of the battle, though Acrobat presumably knocked out Gastly with no difficulty.

Episode 14: Digging Ourselves a Hole[]

Acrobat took part in Emile's battle against Sephazon. He entered the field to battle Reyn (Seph's Monferno), after the Fire/Fighting Type defeated Supernova. Due to Reyn setting up Stealth Rock, Acrobat lost about a quarter of his HP switching in. He immediately confused Reyn with Confuse Ray. Despite the confusion, Reyn used Taunt to force Acrobat into attacking. Predicting Seph would switch, Emile had Acrobat use Bite. The prediction worked well, as Seph sent out his Kadabra: Shulk, which instantly dropped into red health with Bite being super effective. Seph then switched over to his Luxio: Sharla, whose Intimidate cut Acrobat's Attack. Even so, Acrobat managed to take off a small amount of Sharla's health with the planned Bite before his Taunt wore off. Capitalizing on that, Emile had Acrobat use Confuse Ray to confuse Sharla. Unluckily, Sharla broke through the confusion and beat Acrobat with a critical Spark.

Episode 15: Ascending to Jupiter[]

Offscreen, Emile equipped the Dread Plate (which he found in the Old Chateau) to Acrobat to boost the power of his Bite.

Emile began fighting the Team Galactic Grunts inside the Galactic Eterna Building. Acrobat took part in the battle against the first pair of Grunts (one male and one female, who each led with a Zubat) alongside Supernova. He quickly defeated the female Grunt's Zubat with one Wing Attack, causing her to next send out her Glameow. Meanwhile, Supernova's Return took off more than half of the male Grunt's Zubat after it used a Wing Attack that Supernova endured in the green zone. Emile decided to switch out Supernova for Bodhi, while Acrobat defeated the male Grunt's Zubat with one more Wing Attack. Bodhi handily took a Faint Attack from Glameow as the male Grunt sent out his Stunky. The next turn, Bodhi went first thanks to his Quick Claw and used Razor Leaf to damage both Stunky and Glameow, leaving the latter in the red zone and the former in the low green due to being resisted. As such, Acrobat followed with Wing Attack to defeat Stunky. After easily taking a Scratch from Glameow, the Bat Pokémon used one more Wing Attack to knock out the Catty Pokémon.

Acrobat proceeded to defeat another three Galactic Grunts single handedly, including one with a Croagunk, one with a Glameow, and another one with three Pokémon (Stunky, Croagunk, and Glameow). During the battle with the latter Grunt, Acrobat grew to Level 24 and evolved into Crobat afterwards. As a result, he became the first member of Emile's team to be fully evolved. Emile would switch Acrobat out of the lead and have Bodhi battle Scientist Travon.

Acrobat's first battle as a Crobat was against Team Galactic Commander Jupiter. He opened the battle against Jupiter's Zubat, reducing it to the low yellow zone with Wing Attack. Even though he wasn't fully healed, the opposing Zubat used Wing Attack as well, only taking off 10 of Acrobat's Hit Points, leaving him at 62/79. Following Jupiter's remark to "take a bite of this", Emile had Acrobat beat her Zubat with Bite.

Emile kept Acrobat on the field for Jupiter's Skuntank. He took out about a quarter of the Skunk's HP using Bite before its Night Slash left him with 40 HP. Acrobat then resorted to confusing it with Confuse Ray. Unfortunately, Skuntank fought through the confusion and used Night Slash again, this time knocking out Acrobat thanks to a critical hit.

Episode 16: Completing the Cycle[]

While on the Cycling Road on Route 206, Emile battled Cyclist Axel, who used a Pikachu. Despite being weak to Electric, Acrobat nearly took out Pikachu's HP with a Bite that flinched the Mouse Pokémon. However, he ended up being paralyzed from Pikachu's Static Ability. It then used Slam to do 11 HP to Acrobat, who was fully paralyzed that turn. After a second Slam took off another 11 HP, Acrobat defeated Pikachu with another Bite. Following the battle, Emile cured his paralysis with a Cheri Berry and switched him out of the lead spot for Bodhi. In a mostly cut battle with Cyclist Nicole, Acrobat was switched in to defeat Nicole's three Starlys, taking no damage in the process. Later, Acrobat was healed at the Pokémon Center offscreen.

Episode 17: Mira, Mira on the Wall...[]

On Route 207, Emile used Acrobat and Supernova in a fight against Camper Anthony and Picnicker Lauren, who used Chimchar and Pachirisu respectively. Acrobat took out most of the HP of Chimchar, who used Flame Wheel on Supernova after Pachirisu used Charm to lower her Attack. Supernova was at about 2/3 health when she used the planned Return to take off a quarter of the Electric Type's health even with her own Attack lowered. The following turn, Acrobat used another Wing Attack to beat Chimchar, after which Pachirisu used Spark on him. Although the attack was super effective on Acrobat and paralyzed him, it only took off a small amount of his HP. Once Supernova's next Return lowered the Electrical Squirrel to the yellow zone, Emile switched out Acrobat for Bodhi. Following the battle, Emile went to heal in Oreburgh City.

Acrobat participated in the mostly omitted battle with Youngster Austin, defeating his Gligar and being raised to Level 25 in the process. He was also likely used in the omitted battle with Battle Girl Helen.

Episode 18: Simply a Catch[]

On Route 208, Emile encountered a Bibarel which he would capture as an HM slave. Acrobat took out half of its health with Wing Attack before it used Defense Curl. He then used Bite twice (the first one flinching) to reduce the Beaver Pokémon to red HP. Acrobat then lost 46 of his 82 HP when Bibarel got a critical with the first hit with Rollout. Emile successfully captured the Bibarel and named it Derpidius, intending it to be the vessel to which he would transfer the soul of the Bidoof he caught earlier.

Once Emile healed offscreen after catching the Ralts who would become Psythe, Acrobat battled Aroma Lady Hannah on Route 208. He was fast to knock out Hannah's Roselia with a single Wing Attack, growing to Level 26. Hannah's Combee then went down in an identical manner. Later, Emile battled Clown Lee in Hearthome City's Pokémon Center, with Acrobat one hit KOing Lee's Mime Jr. with a single Bite.

Episode 19: Heart is Where the Home is[]

As Emile did training on Route 208, 207, and 206 (mainly to train up the newly captured Psythe), he used Acrobat in some battles. The Bat Pokémon took a decent amount of damage in said battles.

Episode 20: Filling in The Dex[]

Acrobat would be Emile's main Pokémon he used in the Ghost Type specializing Hearthome City Gym. However, he struggled against the first trainer: Lass Molly and her Misdreavus. Acrobat barely failed to knock out Misdreavus in one shot with Bite (leaving it in red HP), allowing the Ghost Type to use Confuse Ray. This resulted in Acrobat hitting himself on the next turn. The confusion damage plus a super effective Psybeam from Misdreavus lowered him to the low green zone. Acrobat would then go into the yellow when he hurt himself in confusion again, combined with the Screech Pokémon using Pain Split (which also healed itself to the yellow). After hitting himself a third time along with another Psybeam from Misdreavus, Acrobat would end up fainting, forcing Emile to heal at the Pokémon Center after the battle.

When fighting another one of the trainers (taking minimal damage), Acrobat grew to Level 27 and learned Air Cutter, with Emile overwriting Leech Life. Acrobat would next sweep through Ace Trainer Allen, knocking out his two Gastlys and Haunter with one Bite apiece. As Emile battled the other Gym trainers offscreen, Acrobat would be elevated to Level 28 before Emile would heal again prior to challenging Gym Leader Fantina.

During the battle with Fantina, Acrobat came out to fight Fantina's Haunter. Despite taking a critical hit from Sucker Punch, he only lost 28/91 Hit Points before he one hit KO'd the Ghost/Poison Type with Bite. Acrobat stayed on the field for Fantina's Mismagius, which he immediately confused with Confuse Ray. However, Mismagius broke through the confusion and used Confuse Ray as well. Despite his own confusion, Acrobat's Bite would lower the Magical Pokémon to the yellow, causing its Sitrus Berry to heal it to the low green. It would then fall back into the high yellow zone when it hurt itself in confusion. The next turn, Acrobat would snap out of confusion and deliver one more Bite to finish off Mismagius. This would win Emile the battle and the Relic Badge.

Later, Emile battled against Alex and Kellz of The Dex in a multi battle (with him temporarily trading Bodhi and Supernova to his Diamond save file, while Psythe and Acrobat stayed in Platinum). Acrobat entered the battle after Psythe was knocked out, with Supernova being at about 2/3 HP. The two faced Alex's Prinplup (in low yellow HP) and Kellz's Ponyta: Audrey (at full HP). Supernova herself was at 2/3 health when Acrobat was sent out. The Bat Pokémon lost a quarter of his own Hit Points due to the Stealth Rock set up by Kellz's Golem earlier. With a critical Wing Attack, Acrobat finished off Prinplup, while Supernova only did a chip to Audrey with Return. That turn, Audrey used Ember on Supernova.

After Prinplup fainted, Alex sent out his throwaway Pokémon: Kellie the Chingling. Acrobat used Bite to reduce Audrey to the yellow, while it was healed back to the low green zone with its equipped Oran Berry. The attack caused Audrey to flinch, allowing Supernova to put it to sleep using Sing. Kellie only did a small amount to Acrobat with a super effective Confusion. With her being asleep the next turn as well, Audrey was KO'd from combined damage by Acrobat's Wing Attack and Supernova's Return. Afterwards, Kellie did negligible damage to Acrobat with Astonish.

Kellz's throwaway Pokémon was Viola the Kricketune. Acrobat next used Air Cutter to strike both Viola and Kellie, putting the former at half health and the latter in low yellow health. Supernova followed with Return to leave Viola at about the same as Kellie. While Kellie's Confusion put Acrobat just below half, he would use another Air Cutter to knock out both it and Viola to win the battle for Emile.

Episode 21: With Us in Spiritomb[]

In the gatehouse connecting Hearthome City and Route 209, Emile began his third battle with Barry using Acrobat, who faced Barry's Staravia. After his Attack was lowered by the Bird Pokémon's Intimidate, Acrobat immediately confused Staravia with Confuse Ray. However, Staravia broke through the confusion and used Double Team. Despite the Attack drop from Intimidate, Acrobat was able to weaken Staravia to red HP with two Wing Attacks. Unfortunately, Staravia would avoid hitting itself on both those turns and used Double Team again, giving it three total stages of boosted evasiveness. This caused Acrobat to miss with his next Wing Attack. Additionally, Staravia snapped out of confusion and used Endeavor to make Acrobat's HP equal to it. Knowing that Barry would have Staravia use Quick Attack and knock out Acrobat with him weakened, Emile promptly healed him with a Super Potion to 61/91 Hit Points. The planned Quick Attack did nine HP to Acrobat. On the following turn, Acrobat missed with his next Wing Attack, while Staravia landed a Wing Attack of its own, leaving the Bat Pokémon with 36 Hit Points. Luckily, Acrobat would connect with Wing Attack on the next turn and defeat the Starling Pokémon, to Emile's relief, as he had lost this battle on previous playthroughs due to Barry's cheap Double Team/Endeavor/Quick Attack strategy. Emile then switched out Acrobat in favor of Bodhi when Barry sent out his Buizel.

Despite being significantly weakened, Acrobat was sent out again to fight Barry's Monferno. His Wing Attack barely failed to knock out the Fire/Fighting Type, leaving it with a sliver of red health. Fortunately, Acrobat survived a Flame Wheel with nine HP before finishing off Monferno with another Wing Attack. Emile next switched out Acrobat for Psythe when Barry sent out his Roselia.

After healing in Hearthome City, Emile ventured onto Route 209. There, he fought Jogger Richard and his Luxio. In spite of the Typing disadvantage, Acrobat caused the Electric Type to flinch when he used Bite, allowing him to use a second Bite to deplete its HP and win the battle unscathed. The resulting experience raised Acrobat to Level 29. After the battle ended, Emile switched him out of the lead slot for Psythe.

Episode 22: Quantum of Solaceon[]

As Emile made a trip back to Oreburgh City to capture an Onix to show the Pokémon News Press in Solaceon Town, Emile also stopped in Jubilife City to play the lottery at the Jubilife TV station. Acrobat matched the last two digits of the Loto Ticket, winning Emile a PP Up as a prize.

Emile later investigated the Solaceon Ruins to start catching the different Unown forms. The first Unown encounter was an E form. Acrobat weakened the Symbol Pokémon to red HP with Air Cutter. He missed on his first attempt before his next two uses connected. Acrobat lost 40 of his HP to three Hidden Power attacks from Unown, partially as a result of his first Air Cutter missing. However, Emile then captured the Unown with a Heal Ball. Acrobat later battled and weakened an I form Unown, but fainted from its Hidden Power, possibly as karma for Emile talking about how useless Unown is in battle.

Episode 23: Where the Lost Ones Go[]

In the Lost Tower, Emile battled Youngster Oliver on the second floor, using Acrobat to fight his Chatot. Acrobat knocked out Chatot with two Wing Attacks, only needing to use the second due to Chatot barely enduring the first. The Bird Pokémon managed to land a Wing Attack of its own on Acrobat by using Mirror Move, but for minimal damage. After Chatot fainted, Emile switched out Acrobat for Bodhi when Oliver sent out his Barboach. Once Emile reached the top of the tower, he returned to the bottom, with Acrobat battling trainers and taking minor damage along the way.

After healing in Solaceon Town, Emile traveled onto Route 210. There, he used Acrobat to fight Pokémon Breeder Amber. The Bat Pokémon took out Amber's Magby with one Wing Attack and Amber's Togepi with two, whilst remaining unscathed due to Togepi using Yawn on its turn.

Inside the Café Cabin, Emile next fought Waitress Kati after stocking up on Moomoo Milk. Kati's Clefairy only posed a minor challenge for Acrobat, as its Cute Charm infatuated him after his first Wing Attack did more than half. While Clefairy did use Cosmic Power to raise its Defense and Special Defense, Acrobat succeeded in knocking it out after presumably avoiding immobilization by love (Emile cut out the rest of the battle after Clefairy used Cosmic Power).

Episode 24: Rainy Mood[]

Acrobat took part in some battles on Route 215. The first was with Ruin Maniac Calvin, during which Emile switched Acrobat in place of Psythe against Calvin's Bronzor, which only used Imprison on that turn. While he only did just less than half of Bronzor's HP with his first Bite, Acrobat took minimal damage from its retaliatory Extrasensory even with it being super effective before his next Bite finished off the Bronze Pokémon with a critical hit. Emile switched out Acrobat for Bodhi when Calvin sent out his Shieldon.

At the end of Route 215, Acrobat participated in the mandatory double battle with Ace Trainers Dennis and Maya. Battling alongside Psythe, Acrobat first faced Dennis's Gligar and Maya's Roselia. He used Air Cutter, doing about 1/3 to Gligar and bringing Roselia to the yellow. Psythe followed by using Confusion to finish off the Rose Pokémon, with the resulting experience raising Acrobat to Level 30. After Maya sent out her Ralts, Acrobat and Psythe focused their attacks (Bite and Magical Leaf) on Gligar, reducing it to red HP from the combined damage, with Acrobat's attack flinching it. The next turn, the Bat Pokémon used Air Cutter again to defeat Gligar, whilst Ralts avoided the attack due to using Double Team on the previous turn. However, Psythe did most of its HP with Magical Leaf, which ignored the evasion buff, after which Ralts used a second Double Team.

Dennis's next Pokémon was Drifblim. Although Acrobat took out most of its health with Bite, Drifblim used Ominous Wind to defeat Psythe, who was already weakened by Gligar's Pursuit earlier. Ralts then brought Acrobat to the low green with Psychic, which Emile didn't anticipate it having. After sending out Supernova, Emile had Acrobat finish off Drifblim with another Bite, which also caused him to fall to the yellow zone due to the Ghost/Flying Type's Aftermath. Meanwhile, Supernova defeated Ralts with a Magical Leaf of her own.

Dennis and Maya next sent out their last Pokémon: Buizel and Lickitung respectively. Buizel began by hitting Acrobat with Aqua Jet. The Poison/Flying Type endured the hit in red HP before using Air Cutter again. This did most of the Water Type's health, while doing a small amount to Lickitung. Supernova next used Magical Leaf to knock out Buizel. After Lickitung used Defense Curl, Acrobat hit Lickitung with Wing Attack on the following turn, putting its HP in the yellow, while Supernova used her newly learned Metronome to get Power Trick, swapping her Attack and Defense stats. Once Supernova handily took Licking Pokémon's Stomp, Acrobat used Bite again, leaving it in the red zone. Supernova's next Metronome gave Silver Wind, which depleted Lickitung's HP to win the battle for Emile.

Acrobat and the rest of Emile's team were healed in Veilstone City's Pokémon Center once Emile made it.

Episode 26: Competitive Maylene Match[]

With the Veilstone City Gym specializing in Fighting Type Pokémon, Acrobat had an easy time. He defeated the first Black Belt offscreen, losing only four HP. Black Belt Rafael's Croagunk fainted to one Wing Attack from Acrobat, while his Machoke fainted after two Wing Attacks, in between which it pointlessly used Foresight. Black Belt Jeffery was also swiftly beaten, with his Heracross instantly falling due to Wing Attack being quad effective. The resulting experience elevated Acrobat to Level 31.

Even though Emile didn't heal at the Pokémon Center beforehand (and also skipped one of the trainers), Acrobat continued his dominance in Emile's battle against Gym Leader Maylene. Acrobat fought Maylene's Lucario. His first Wing Attack did about a third of the Aura Pokémon's HP before his second hit scored a critical and brought it to the red. After taking two Metal Claws, which left him at 43/100 HP after the second hit, Acrobat finished off Lucario using a third Wing Attack when Maylene didn't heal it as Emile expected.

Acrobat stayed in battle for Maylene's Machoke. He lowered it to the yellow zone with his first Wing Attack. Machoke responded with a Rock Tomb that put him at 11 Hit Points. However, Acrobat was still faster even with the Speed drop, enabling him to take out Machoke with one more Wing Attack, clinching Emile the win and the Cobble Badge.

Once Emile healed in the Veilstone Pokémon Center, he battled with TamashiiHiroka. Acrobat was sent out against Tamashii's Pelipper, which had knocked out Bodhi. With it already in red HP from Bodhi's efforts, Acrobat finished it off with Wing Attack. Tamashii next sent out her Rampardos, which Acrobat promptly confused with Confuse Ray. Rampardos broke through and did about half of Acrobat's health with AncientPower, which Emile expected to do more damage given Rampardos's high Attack (it wasn't until after the battle that Emile remembered that AncientPower is a Special move). Acrobat used two Bites in a row, with the first one flinching the Rock Type and the second leaving it in the low green. The Fossil Pokémon then hurt itself from the confusion, reducing its health into the yellow. Following a third Bite from Acrobat, Rampardos would hit itself again to knock itself out.

When Tamashii sent out her Haunter as her next Pokémon, Acrobat immediately used Bite to do more than half of the Ghost Type's health. Although the Bite didn't flinch Haunter, which retaliated with Shadow Ball, Acrobat survived the hit with only three HP. This enabled him to take out Haunter with another Bite. Tamashii's last Pokémon was Leafeon, which used Quick Attack to finish off Acrobat's health. Even with Acrobat fainting, Emile would soon win the battle using Supernova.

Episode 27: The Dawn of Time[]

As Emile hunted all 26 of the letter forms of Unown offscreen, Acrobat grew to Level 32.

On Route 214, Acrobat fought Collector Brady, sweeping through all six of his Pokémon with one Wing Attack each: Skorupi, Tropius, Carnivine, Croagunk, Yanma, and Tangela. On the same route, Acrobat next battled Beauty Devon and her three Wormadams (one of each form: Plant, Trash, and Sandy Cloak). After taking only one Hit Point of damage, Acrobat leveled up to Level 33 at the end of the battle and learned Mean Look, which Emile replaced Air Cutter for.

Acrobat took minimal damage in subsequent battles on Route 214. Emile also raised his Speed with a hidden Carbos he found.

Episode 28: The Pastoria Symphony[]

In Pastoria City, Emile visited the Move Reminder's house and had him teach Acrobat Cross Poison in place of Mean Look at the cost of a Heart Scale. Emile justified the decision because he didn't see Mean Look being needed in the immediate future, and he could always reteach it at any time.

Episode 30: Crashing and Burning[]

During the battle against Pastoria City Gym Leader Crasher Wake, Acrobat took the field against Wake's Gyarados after Supernova's unlucky faint. Unaffected by Intimidate like Supernova was, Acrobat confused the Sea Serpent with Confuse Ray. However, Gyarados broke through the confusion and nearly KO'd him with a critical Waterfall. The next turn, Acrobat scored a critical hit of his own with Cross Poison, putting Gyarados in the yellow zone, combined with it hitting itself. Unfortunately, Acrobat's next Cross Poison left the Water/Flying Type with a mere sliver of red health before it fought through the confusion again to KO the Bat Pokémon with Brine. Emile would eventually lose the battle due to his bad luck.

During the second attempt at the battle, Acrobat once again came out against Gyarados after the untimely faint by Supernova. Like the first attempt, he confused Gyarados with Confuse Ray. However, even when it broke through the confusion, the Sea Serpent didn't get a critical with Waterfall, putting Acrobat at 61/107 HP. The next turn, a Cross Poison combined with Gyarados hitting itself put it in the low green zone. Another Cross Poison left it in the yellow, while Gyarados's next Waterfall reduced Acrobat to the red. Though Acrobat's third Cross Poison again put it to the red, the Water/Flying Type would knock itself out from the confusion. The experience elevated Acrobat to Level 34. As Wake sent out his Floatzel, Emile switched out Acrobat for Psythe.

Acrobat retook the field after Floatzel knocked out Psythe, but after he reduced the Sea Weasel to the yellow zone. Knowing that Floatzel would use Aqua Jet with him low on HP, Emile healed Acrobat completely with a Moomoo Milk. The planned Aqua Jet did 25 HP to him. The Bat Pokémon next used Confuse Ray, causing Floatzel to hurt itself on the same turn, dropping it to the low yellow. This caused Wake to use a Hyper Potion, after which Acrobat attacked with Cross Poison. The move also poisoned the Water Type, with the poison damage combined with the attack itself leaving Floatzel in the low green at the end of the turn. Acrobat's next Cross Poison reduced the Water Pokémon to the red along with the poison, while it broke through the confusion and landed an Ice Fang, bringing Acrobat to only 25 Hit Points. The next turn though, Floatzel snapped out of confusion and defeated Acrobat with Aqua Jet, before fainting from the poison, resulting in nobody on Emile's team receiving the experience. Despite that, Bodhi would go on to defeat Wake's Quagsire and win the battle.

Episode 31: Past Pastoria[]

Acrobat was not used in any onscreen battles. However, while stopping at Move Tutor's house on Route 212, Emile checked what moves Acrobat could learn. One of them was Ominous Wind. Emile ultimately elected to keep Bite on Acrobat since it was Physical, plus with Dark Type moves being offensively similar to Ghost.

Episode 33: Foggy Dilemma[]

After curing the Psyduck of their headaches and clearing the way, Emile ventured further onto Route 210. There, he battled Ace Trainer Alyssa. Acrobat fought Alyssa's Grotle, knocking it out with two Wing Attacks, while it only used Curse in between. Emile then switched out Acrobat for Psythe when Alyssa sent out her Girafarig.

During the fight with Ace Trainer Ernest, Emile switched Acrobat into battle against Ernest's Scyther after initially having Bodhi on the field (who was damaged by Scyther's Pursuit while switching out). Acrobat used Wing Attack twice to KO the Mantis Pokémon, while he lost 27 HP from Scyther's own Wing Attack. Emile switched Acrobat out to send Bodhi back in when Ernest sent out his Luxio.

Ninja Boy Davido proved somewhat troublesome with his Mothim. While Emile once again switched in Acrobat in place of Bodhi, Acrobat barely failed to KO it with one Wing Attack. Mothim then scored a critical hit with its own attack, defeating Acrobat.

Emile healed Acrobat and the rest of his team at the Pokémon Center once he arrived in Celestic Town.

Episode 34: Celestic Legends[]

Emile used Acrobat during his first battle against Team Galactic Boss Cyrus in the Celestic Ruins. Acrobat was sent out to face Cyrus's Murkrow, immediately using Confuse Ray. However, Murkrow broke through the confusion and did 40 HP to Acrobat with Drill Peck. He used Cross Poison on the next turn, dropping the Dark/Flying Type to low green HP. It snapped out of confusion that turn, doing another 42 HP to Acrobat with its next Drill Peck, leaving him at 28/110 HP. Acrobat used another Cross Poison to reduce Murkrow to the red, before it was healed back to the yellow via its equipped Sitrus Berry. The Darkness Pokémon then used Night Shade. With it being at Level 36, resulting in a guaranteed 36 HP of damage, the attack was more than enough to knock out Acrobat.

After Emile defeated Cyrus, he went to heal Acrobat and the rest of his team at the Pokémon Center.

Episode 35: Riding the Beaver[]

Emile traveled on Route 220 to check out the now accessible places in Sinnoh with Surf. There, he battled Swimmer Adrian, who led with Remoraid. Acrobat nearly OHKO'd it with Wing Attack, with the Jet Pokémon hanging on in the red. However, it only damaged Acrobat minimally with Bubblebeam before he used Cross Poison to finish it off (albeit with a useless critical). As Adrian sent out his Tentacool, Emile switched out Acrobat in favor of Psythe.

On Route 221, Acrobat was used in the fight with Ace Trainer Jake, who began the battle with Staraptor. Acrobat used Confuse Ray on Staraptor, who fought through the confusion and reduced him to 34/110 using Take Down, taking some recoil damage in the process. Because he was weakened severely, on top of Staraptor's Intimidate cutting his Attack, Emile switched out Acrobat for Supernova. However, Acrobat would be raised to Level 35 from the split experience once Supernova defeated Staraptor.

Emile later healed Acrobat and the rest of his team offscreen as he went to explore more of the newly available areas with Surf.

Episode 36: Hasta Fuego![]

In the Fuego Ironworks, Emile fought against Worker Dillan using Acrobat. He OHKO'd Dillan's Machop with Wing Attack, and used two Wing Attacks to defeat Dillan's Machoke, which only did 13 HP to him using Revenge. The next trainer: Worker Holden had a Magnemite, prompting Emile to switch out Acrobat for Bodhi, but still allowing him to receive split experience. The last trainer in the Ironworks was Worker Conrad, who had a Magmar. Acrobat did more than half of the Fire Type's HP with Cross Poison, being burned in the process due to triggering Flame Body. The rest of the battle was cut, but Acrobat managed to defeat the Spitfire Pokémon with 53/113 Hit Points remaining.

As Emile explored more of the areas now accessible with Surf, he healed Acrobat offscreen. Acrobat also grew to Level 36 offscreen, presumably in a battle on Route 212. In addition, he encountered and defeated two wild Psyducks in the pond in Twinleaf Town as Emile went to find the hidden Odd Keystone (taking some damage in the process).

Episodes 35 and 36[]

Because both Episodes 35 and 36 featured Emile showcasing the newly available areas with Surf, both episodes featured clips of Acrobat at Level 35 and after he reached Level 36. Acrobat's level up was never shown onscreen.

Episode 37: Route Canalave[]

On the way to Canalave City, Emile used Acrobat to fight Guitarist Tony, instantly KOing his Kricketune thanks to a critical hit Wing Attack and growing to Level 37 as a result. Emile switched out Acrobat in favor of Bodhi for Tony's Magnemite.

In Canalave City itself, Acrobat took part in Emile's fifth battle with Barry. He quickly knocked out Barry's Heracross with a quad effective Wing Attack, also getting a pointless critical. Acrobat stayed on the field for Barry's Infernape, which he KO'd with two Wing Attacks whilst only losing 31 Hit Points to a Flame Wheel. Emile then switched out Acrobat for Bodhi as Barry sent out his Floatzel.

Episode 38: Iron Men[]

In Iron Island, Emile teamed up with Riley to fight numerous trainers, including two Team Galactic Grunts. Acrobat was used in the battle alongside Riley's Lucario, while the Galactic Grunts started with Zubat and Glameow. The latter was OHKO'd by Acrobat's Cross Poison, while the former also went down in one hit to Lucario's Metal Claw. The Metal Claw boosted Lucario's Attack. Meanwhile, Acrobat was elevated to Level 38 from Glameow's KO. The Grunts next sent out Stunky and Golbat. Acrobat and Lucario double targeted the Skunk Pokémon, taking it out with combined damage from Wing Attack and Force Palm. Afterwards, Golbat used Air Cutter to simultaneously hit Acrobat and Lucario for minimal damage, even with a critical on both.

The final Pokémon for the Grunt who had the Glameow and Stunky was Croagunk, which Acrobat was also able to OHKO with Wing Attack. At that time, Lucario did more than half of Golbat's health using Metal Claw, before it hit Acrobat for a bit more damage with its own Wing Attack. Lucario finished off the opposing Golbat the following turn with Quick Attack, while Acrobat's Wing Attack went to waste. The second Grunt's last Pokémon was a Houndour, which Lucario was able to one shot without a critical using Quick Attack.

Episode 40: Huffin' and Poffin[]

During his battle against Yoshiller, Emile sent out Acrobat against Yoshiller's Gliscor: Yiscor, which had already knocked out Psythe. With Yiscor having two stages of boosted Attack from Swords Dance, Acrobat confused him with Confuse Ray. However, Yiscor's equipped Lum Berry snapped him out of confusion instantly, allowing him to use Ice Fang. Surprisingly, Acrobat endured the hit with only two HP, allowing him to use Confuse Ray again on the next turn. Despite the confusion, Yiscor landed another Ice Fang to knock out Acrobat. Emile would eventually defeat Bradley regardless though.

Episode 41: Lake Inferior[]

As Emile traveled around Sinnoh to acquire newly available items using the HM for Strength, he fought Veteran Grant on the lowest floor or Oreburgh Gate. Acrobat took part in the battle, taking significant damage in the process and being raised to Level 39. There, he tried to learn Poison Fang, a move Emile was intrigued by but ultimately declined to learn. Acrobat was healed offscreen once Emile left Oreburgh Gate.

When Emile fought the Team Galactic Grunts at the dried up Lake Valor, Acrobat was used for the first Grunt's Murkrow, which he knocked out while taking 22 HP of damage. Inside the Valor Cavern, Emile battled Galactic Commander Saturn. Acrobat entered the battle against Saturn's Toxicroak, which had already defeated Psythe. He dropped the Poison/Fighting Type into the yellow using Wing Attack before its Sitrus Berry healed it back to the green. After taking 30 Hit Points of damage from Faint Attack, Acrobat's next Wing Attack barely failed to KO, leaving Toxicroak with a chip of red HP. Fortunately, Acrobat easily took 28 more HP from another Faint Attack before using Bite to defeat Toxicroak and win the battle.

Once Saturn was defeated, Emile returned home to Twinleaf Town to revisit his in game mother Johanna, who healed his party including Acrobat.

Episode 42: Defending the Homeland[]

When Emile fought the first two Team Galactic Grunts at Lake Verity, he sent out Acrobat in place of Bodhi against the Croagunk from the male Grunt (which was his only Pokémon) and the Golbat from the female Grunt (which was her second Pokémon). As Acrobat entered the battle, Psythe proceeded to OHKO Croagunk with his quad effective Psycho Cut. Acrobat didn't take any damage, as Golbat hit Psythe with a super effective Wing Attack, reducing him to the yellow. The next turn, both of Emile's Pokémon took out the opposing Bat Pokémon with combined damage from Acrobat's Wing Attack and Psythe's Psycho Cut. Murkrow was the last Pokémon from the female Grunt, which was defeated in one turn by a combination of Psythe's Vacuum Wave (for priority damage) and Acrobat's Cross Poison.

Acrobat next took part in the battle with the second pair of Galactic Grunts which was cut, taking no damage and growing to Level 40.

Episode 43: Feeble Grind[]

As Emile spent tons of time hunting for Feebas in the basement floor of Mt. Coronet, Acrobat grew two levels to Level 42. Emile was able to find a Feebas tile on the first spot of the third column, but Acrobat fled from the first Feebas Emile encountered, since it was Level 10 and he wanted to find another one which was higher leveled. After a Barboach encounter, Emile found another Feebas, which was at Level 20 and a male. By that point, Acrobat had used all but one Power Point for Wing Attack. Due to the level difference, Acrobat used Confuse Ray in order to deal indirect damage from the Fish Pokémon hitting itself. Feebas did hurt itself from the confusion on the first turn, though only for a small amount of damage. Emile then switched out Acrobat for Derpidius (who was the same level as Feebas) in order to more efficiently weaken it. The Feebas would hit itself again as Derpidius switched in. Emile ultimately caught it in his sole Luxury Ball after Derpidius weakened it.

Due to the caught Feebas's Naive Nature (which boosts Speed while lowering Special Defense), Emile went to catch three other Feebas offscreen. He settled for the one that was female, Level 19, and has a Timid Nature (+Speed, -Attack), adding it as fifth team member and eventually giving it the nickname Vanity.

Episode 44: Snow to Anger[]

While on the snowy Route 216, Emile fought a few trainers, including Ace Trainer Laura and her Tropius. Emile switched in Acrobat in place of Psythe. Acrobat lost 44 HP on the turn he switched in from Tropius's Air Slash and the ongoing Hail (which also damaged the Banana Tree). He proceeded to KO it with two Cross Poisons, in between which Acrobat took another 42 Hit Points from a second Air Slash combined with the Hail (which once again damaged Tropius). Following the battle, Emile healed up Acrobat and the rest of his Pokémon at the Snowbound Lodge.

Acrobat was raised to Level 43 during an offscreen battle, likely with Ace Trainer Garrett due to his last Pokémon being a Scyther. He was also healed again in the Snowbound Lodge before Emile proceeded onto Route 217. There, he battled Black Belt Luke, who had three Fighting Type Pokémon: Croagunk, Machoke, and Riolu. With Psythe in the lead, he took out Croagunk before Acrobat switched in for Machoke. The Superpower Pokémon fell to two Wing Attacks while Acrobat lost 29 Hit Points from Machoke's attack and the Hail. Acrobat was then able to OHKO Riolu with his third Wing Attack to finish the battle.

Episode 45: Snowpoint-less[]

In Snowpoint City, Emile visited the Move Tutor to see if there were any moves that he would like to teach to his Pokémon. While Acrobat didn't have any available moves from the tutor that were appealing to Emile, he decided to teach him X Scissor via TM81 since more copies of the TM could be purchased. Emile deleted Acrobat's Bite to make room for X Scissor. Afterwards, Emile healed Acrobat and the rest of the team at the Pokémon Center before challenging the Snowpoint Gym, due to the team not being healed from the previous episode. However, Acrobat didn't take part in any battles with the Snowpoint Gym specializing in Ice Types.

Episode 46: Contest Rules[]

Acrobat took part in Emile's second battle with Marriland, opening the battle against Devin's Pachirisu: Ninjarisu. However, Emile immediately switched out Acrobat for Bodhi.

Emile sent out Acrobat again for Devin's Togekiss: Zeppelin, which had beaten Vanity (whom Emile sent out as a sacrifice to switch in Acrobat safely). Acrobat began by using Confuse Ray, though Zeppelin fought through the confusion and used Reflect to give his side of the field a Defense boost. The next turn, Acrobat used Cross Poison. Though the damage was reduced as a result of the Reflect, it poisoned Zeppelin, leaving him around 3/4 HP at the end of the turn. That turn, the Jubilee Pokémon used AncientPower after breaking through the confusion, doing just less than half of Acrobat's health. On the following turn, Zeppelin fell into the yellow from combined damage from Acrobat's next Cross Poison, hurting itself in confusion, and the poison damage. Acrobat then used Cross Poison another time, after which Zeppelin broke through the confusion. However, Devin had Zeppelin use Metronome instead of AncientPower, hoping for decent luck. It backfired, as the resulting Grass Whistle missed, after which the poison left him in red HP.

Devin then switched out Zeppelin for his Quagsire: Slippers. That turn, Emile commanded Acrobat to use Wing Attack, only doing a chip of damage before the Reflect faded at the end of the turn. Acrobat used Confuse Ray again to confuse Slippers, causing him to hit himself, leaving him at about 3/4 HP. On the next turn, Slippers went first due to his Quick Claw activating and fought through the confusion to land an Icy Wind. The move scored a critical hit and left Acrobat with only six Hit Points, also lowering his Speed. He retaliated with Cross Poison, hoping to poison the Water/Ground Type, but to no avail, leaving him in the low green. Despite the Speed drop from Icy Wind though, Acrobat remained faster than Slippers and used another Cross Poison to put him into the yellow zone. Like the previous Cross Poison, it failed to poison Slippers as Emile hoped. Slippers then broke through the confusion again and used another Icy Wind to knock out Acrobat. Emile eventually lost to Devin after how interesting the battle turned out.

Episode 47: Better Lake Than Never[]

Emile spent most of the episode revisiting areas of Sinnoh to use the HM Rock Climb in certain places. Acrobat was used in the (mostly cut) battle with Skier Bradley on Route 216, quickly taking out his Snover and losing minimal damage due to the ongoing Hail.

Episode 48: Galactic Center[]

Acrobat was in the front of Emile's party as he battled his way through the Team Galactic HQ in Veilstone City. The first battle was against a Team Galactic Grunt in the Galactic Warehouse connecting to the main HQ. Acrobat took down the Grunt's Golbat with three Wing Attacks, only losing minor damage from Air Cutter on the first turn, and merely being locked into battle via Mean Look on the second turn. The next Galactic Grunt started with a Houndour, which was defeated by Acrobat with a single X Scissor. Emile then switched out Acrobat for Vanity when the Grunt sent out his Murkrow.

Inside the main headquarters, Acrobat fought Scientist Fredrick offscreen, presumably knocking out both his Kirlia and Kadabra with X Scissor. Then in a fight with another Galactic Grunt, Acrobat fought his Glameow. His X Scissor barely failed to OHKO the Normal Type, but he took no damage when it used Charm to lower his Attack two stages. Acrobat followed with Cross Poison to finish off Glameow, being elevated to Level 44 as a result. Emile then switched him out for Supernova as the Grunt sent out his Murkrow. In battles with the following two Galactic Grunts which were omitted (the first having only a Stunky, and the second having a Murkrow and Stunky), Acrobat took notable damage, being reduced to about half.

After obtaining the Galactic Key, Emile entered the portion of the HQ accessible through the main lobby. Before battling the first two Galactic Grunts who battled in tandem, he healed Acrobat's HP to full using a Moomoo Milk. Acrobat and Bodhi were sent out against the Grunts, with Emile intending to have Bodhi use Earthquake to damage the opponents while not damaging Acrobat thanks to his immunity. Unfortunately, both Grunts had Golbats as their first Pokémon, forcing Emile to switch out Bodhi for Supernova. As Supernova switched in, Acrobat reduced the female Grunt's Golbat to the red with a critical Wing Attack, while he and Supernova took minimal damage from its retaliatory Air Cutter. Supernova also took little damage from the male Golbat's Poison Fang. While it did badly poison her, Supernova was protected from poison damage thanks to Magic Guard.

The next turn, Acrobat finished the female Grunt's Golbat with Wing Attack, after which he and Supernova again took only minor damage from Air Cutter, even with Supernova taking a critical hit. She then used Thunderbolt, which only brought the male Grunt's Golbat to the red zone. The female Grunt's second Pokémon was a Houndour, which Acrobat one shotted with X Scissor. While the lingering Golbat confused Acrobat with Confuse Ray, Supernova used another Thunderbolt to KO it. The male Grunt's last Pokémon was a second Golbat. Acrobat broke through the confusion and landed a critical with Wing Attack, leaving the opposing Bat with a sliver of red health. Wanting to have a little fun, Emile had Supernova use Metronome. To his chagrin, the Metronome gave Magnitude, which had no effect on either Acrobat or the Golbat (which was the very reason why Emile switched out Bodhi with Earthquake being ineffective). Once Supernova was weakened to the yellow from the Golbat's Wing Attack, Emile switched out Acrobat for Vanity since he wanted Supernova to get a damaging move with Metronome to take out the Golbat. That turn, Supernova got Frenzy Plant through Metronome to KO the Golbat and end the battle.

Acrobat next fought Scientist Darrius and his Porygon2 in the Team Galactic TV Room offscreen, taking minimal damage.

Episode 49: Head Honchkrow[]

Emile continued his way through the Galactic HQ in Veilstone City, healing his team in the Nap Room. Acrobat and Bodhi fought together against a pair of Team Galactic Grunts, with the male Grunt opening with a Stunky, and the female Grunt starting with a Croagunk. With one Wing Attack, Acrobat swiftly beat the Croagunk, whilst he remained unaffected by Bodhi's Earthquake that promptly KO'd Stunky, in a double battle strategy that Emile intended to execute in the previous episode. The next Pokémon from the male Grunt was a Croagunk, while the female Grunt's second Pokémon was a Stunky. While the Croagunk did minor damage to Bodhi with its Sucker Punch, Acrobat and Bodhi defeated both opposing Pokémon in an identical manner to the first pair. Unlike the male Grunt however, the female Grunt had a third Pokémon: Glameow. Acrobat was able to one shot it with Cross Poison to end the battle.

After healing in the Nap Room again, Emile entered Cyrus's office to challenge the Galactic Boss for a second time. Acrobat started the battle by facing Cyrus' Sneasel, which he quickly weakened to mid yellow HP from an X Scissor. Sneasel retaliated with Ice Punch, weakening Acrobat to the yellow as well and freezing him too. Fed up due to the Ice Punch also freezing Supernova on its first turn in his previous battle with Cyrus, Emile resorted to use his sole Full Restore to completely heal Acrobat. Unfortunately, Sneasel's next Ice Punch scored a critical, KOing him from full HP. This made Emile even more livid, as Sneasel also KO'd Supernova with a critical from its second Ice Punch in the previous battle.

Despite the trouble Cyrus gave, Emile eventually won the battle. He returned to the Nap Room to heal his team once more before entering the lab where Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit were imprisoned. There, he fought Galactic Commander Saturn for a second time. Acrobat was sent out to fight Saturn's Toxicroak, which he OHKO'd thanks to a critical Wing Attack. Emile then switched him out for Psythe as Saturn sent out his Bronzor.

Episode 51: Spearheading[]

Emile used Acrobat and Supernova in the double battle with the two Team Galactic Grunts atop the Spear Pillar. The male Grunt led with a Croagunk, which fell in one hit to Acrobat's Wing Attack. The female Grunt started off with a Stunky, which did minor damage to Supernova after she missed with Meteor Mash. Afterwards, the male Grunt sent out his second Croagunk which was four levels higher than the first. Regardless, Acrobat KO'd it in an identical manner. When Supernova missed with Meteor Mash a second time, Acrobat also handily took Stunky's Night Slash. He next used X Scissor, putting the Skunk Pokemon in the yellow zone. Luckily, Supernova finally connected with her third Meteor Mash to finish it off. The second Pokémon from the female Grunt was a Glameow, which Acrobat was quick to weaken to red health using Cross Poison. After he took a Slash with ease, Supernova knocked out the Normal Type with Return.

Following the battle, Emile used a Moomoo Milk to heal Acrobat's HP to full before encountering Mars and Jupiter again. Then, once Emile and Barry defeated the Galactic Commanders together, Barry healed all of Emile's team, including the Power Points Acrobat used.

Episode 52: Distortion World[]

Acrobat took part in Emile's last battle with Cyrus in the Distortion World. He took the field against Cyrus' Weavile after it had beaten Psythe. With the Dark/Ice Type in the low green, Acrobat tried to finish it off with X Scissor. He was faster even four levels lower than Weavile, but the attack only left it in red HP, triggering its Sitrus Berry to heal it to the yellow. Oddly, Weavile didn't use the super effective Ice Punch and used Night Slash instead. Acrobat took the attack with 90/145 Hit Points before taking out the Sharp Claw Pokémon with another X Scissor. He grew to Level 45 as a result and tried learning Haze, to which Emile declined.

Cyrus next sent out his last Pokémon: his own Crobat. The two Bats dueled each other, with Cyrus's bringing Acrobat's HP to the yellow zone with Air Slash, while Acrobat's Wing Attack did about a quarter to the opposing Crobat. After another Air Slash reduced him to the red, Acrobat used Confuse Ray. This caused Cyrus's Crobat to hurt itself in confusion, with it plus a Wing Attack from Acrobat putting it below half. The opposing Crobat then hit itself again the following turn, with Acrobat following with another Wing Attack. Unfortunately, the combined damage only left Cyrus's Crobat with a pixel of red health, prompting Cyrus to use a Full Restore. Acrobat landed one more Wing Attack to put Cyrus's Crobat to around 3/4 health before he fainted to Air Slash.

Once Emile won the battle, Cynthia healed Acrobat and the rest of Emile's team.

Episode 53: Giratina[]

Acrobat was utilized by Emile to help catch Giratina after Vanity was defeated. With the Renegade Pokémon's health already in the yellow zone from Vanity's efforts, he used two Wing Attacks to reduce it to the red, whilst losing 58 HP to a Dragon Claw. After the second Wing Attack, Acrobat was safely switched out for Supernova when Giratina vanished instantly and proceeded to use Shadow Force.

 Episode 54: Willpower Trip[]

In Pastoria City, Emile taught Acrobat Mean Look by exchanging a Heart Scale with the Move Reminder, deleting Confuse Ray. Acrobat was not used in any battles.

Episode 55: Knowledge is Power[]

Acrobat was deposited in the PC when Emile went to capture Uxie at Lake Acuity. Emile initially had deposited Vanity for Derpidius since she knew Rock Climb to reach the lake, but realized that Derpidius no longer knew Surf to reach the cavern. Therefore, Emile had to deposit Acrobat so he could retrieve Vanity.

Episode 56: Emotion VS Logic[]

Acrobat was the star player when trying to catch Mesprit due to him having been temporarily being taught Mean Look to keep the Roaming Legendary from fleeing. Emile encountered Mesprit on Route 203. Using two X Scissors and a Wing Attack, Acrobat weakened Mesprit to red health. He also tanked countless Swifts and Future Sights, whilst Emile healed him as well. However, Emile failed with a countless number of various types of Poke Balls, prompting him to flee the battle voluntarily. After healing offscreen (his HP being three below maximum) and encountering Mesprit on Route 203 again, Emile threw a Quick Ball which successfully captured the Emotion Pokémon.

Episode 57: The Untraveled Road[]

Even while having the three HP of damage from the last episode, Acrobat battled Fisherman Alec on Route 222, defeating his Magikarp in one hit with Cross Poison. Emile then switched him out for Supernova when Alec sent out his Gyarados. Following the battle, Emile swapped Acrobat's Dread Plate for the Toxic Plate. He was healed at the Pokémon Center in Sunyshore City when Emile arrived.

Episode 58: The Shore is Always Sunny[]

Acrobat and the rest of Emile's team were temporarily deposited in the PC as Emile briefly returned to Solaceon Town to show various forms of Unown to receive Poke Ball Seals from the boy.

Episode 59: City Volkner[]

Acrobat was taken out of the PC and put back in Emile's party offscreen. He was not used in any battles with the Sunyshore City Gym specializing in Electric Types.

Episode 60: Keep Your Wittz About You[]

Emile used Acrobat in his battle with JWittz, sending him out in place of Psythe against Josh's Scizor: Blur, which was at 3/4 HP from Psythe's efforts. He easily took a quad resisted X Scissor switching in. Predicting a switch, Emile commanded Acrobat to use X Scissor as well. The prediction proved correct, as Josh switched over to his Luxray: Scar. But even with neutral effectiveness, the planned X Scissor did minimal damage due to Acrobat's Attack being cut by Scar's Intimidate. Knowing Scar would use an Electric Type for super effective damage, Emile switched out Acrobat for Bodhi.

Acrobat was later sent out in place of Bodhi to face Blur again, after Bodhi brought him to just over half HP with Wood Hammer. Like before, he handily took a quad resisted X Scissor as he entered the field. Even with Blur being immune to Cross Poison, Emile commanded Acrobat to use the move, predicting Josh would switch to a Pokémon that would take a good amount of damage from it. The move failed, because while Josh did switch, he sent out his Empoleon: Wombo, who was also immune to Cross Poison. With him not being Type effective against the Penguin Pokémon, Emile switched out Acrobat for Vanity, who was able to take Wombo's Blizzard easily thanks to her resistance to Ice.

After Vanity fainted, Acrobat was sent out a third time against Wombo, who was at a sliver of red health from Vanity's efforts (during which Vanity set up a Rain Dance). With him being faster, Acrobat tried to KO Wombo with Wing Attack, only for Josh to switch back over to Scar. The planned Wing Attack did minimal damage, both due to Scar's resistance to Flying, and his Intimidate cutting Acrobat's Attack. This forced Emile to switch out Acrobat for Bodhi again.

Acrobat took the field one last time as Emile's last conscious Pokémon to face Wobbles: Josh's Abomasnow, after she defeated Psythe. While Wobbles first used Protect to stall and get chip damage on him from the Hail summoned by Snow Warning, she only delayed the inevitable, as Acrobat landed his second Wing Attack to finish off her remaining health, which was already in the yellow. After he again took Hail damage, Josh sent out his last remaining Pokemon: Alex19 the Machamp. With the Fighting Type also weakened to yellow HP from earlier, Acrobat easily depleted his health with one more Wing Attack, winning the battle for Emile.

Episode 63: End of the Road[]

Acrobat was in the party when Emile traversed through Victory Road. After Black Belt Miles was defeated, Emile took the Toxic Plate off Acrobat and gave him the Exp Share due to him being lower leveled compared to his teammates. As a result he gained experience as Emile fought other trainers in the cave. During the battle with Veteran Edgar, Acrobat was raised to Level 46 when Eidolon took out Edgar's Empoleon. Later in the battle, he took the field against Edgar's Tangrowth. A critical Cross Poison reduced the Grass Type to red HP and poisoned it, while it retaliated with Slam, doing 36 HP to the Bat Pokémon. While the poison damage merely dropped Tangrowth to a sliver of red health, Acrobat dispatched it with Wing Attack on the next turn to end the battle.

Sometime before entering the main Pokémon League building after clearing Victory Road, Acrobat was elevated to Level 47 offscreen and healed.

Emile used Acrobat in his sixth battle with Barry, facing his Heracross. The Bug/Fighting Type easily fainted to a 4x effective Wing Attack. Emile switched out Acrobat for Psythe when Barry sent out his Floatzel, but later sent him out again to fight Barry's Roserade. A Wing Attack left the Rose Pokemon in low yellow health before it responded with Shadow Ball, taking off 45 of Acrobat's Hit Points. While the move also lowered his Special Defense, it didn't matter, as Acrobat swiftly finished off Roserade with his next Wing Attack. The resulting experience grew Acrobat to Level 48. Emile then switched him out again, this time for Eidolon when Barry sent out his Snorlax.

Episode 64: The Miracle of Bertha[]

During offscreen training for the Elite Four, Emile raised Acrobat and the rest of his team to Level 52. At Level 51, Acrobat learned Air Slash, with Emile deleting Mean Look for the purpose. Emile also equipped him with the Sky Plate to boost the power of his Flying Type moves. The Sky Plate was found hidden outside the exit of Victory Road. Before beginning his Elite Four challenge, Emile tried to use a Carbos to raise Acrobat's base Speed, only to find his Speed Effort Values at maximum. As such, Emile instead used it on Eidolon, who was the only Pokémon who didn't have maxed out Speed EVs.

The first member of the Elite Four was Aaron, who specialized in Bug Types. Acrobat was sent out in the battle to fight Aaron's Heracross, easily OHKOing it using Wing Attack. Emile then switched out Acrobat for Bodhi when Aaron sent out his Drapion.

Episode 65: Lucian Dreams[]

Acrobat was used during Emile's fight with the third member of the Sinnoh Elite Four: the Fire Type specialist Flint. Emile sent out Acrobat in place of Vanity against Flint's Rapidash, which was at half HP. His quad resistance allowed him to take a Solar Beam boosted by Sunny Day for minimal damage. Acrobat then used Cross Poison, reducing Rapidash to the red zone. The Fire Horse retaliated with Flare Blitz, amplified by the Sunny Day. However, Acrobat miraculously survived with 10 HP remaining, whilst the recoil damage depleted Rapidash's health. Emile switched out Acrobat for Psythe when Flint sent out his Magmortar. Once the battle was over, Emile healed Acrobat offscreen before proceeding.

The fourth and last Elite Four member was the Psychic Type user Lucian. Acrobat took the field against Lucian's strongest Pokémon: Gallade, after it defeated Eidolon. With the Psychic/Fighting Type weakened to low yellow HP, Lucian used a Full Restore. However, Acrobat's Wing Attack undid most of the restoration, putting Gallade below half. This made it easy for Acrobat to finish off the Blade Pokémon with another Wing Attack, growing to Level 53 in the process. Acrobat stayed in battle for Lucian's last Pokémon: Alakazam. While his X Scissor took out most of its HP, Alakazam's powerful Psychic attack KO'd him in one shot without a critical hit. After Supernova won the battle for Emile by defeating Alakazam, Acrobat was revived and fully healed.

Episode 66 [Finale][]

Acrobat took part in Emile's battle with Sinnoh League Champion Cynthia, facing her Roserade. A Wing Attack dropped Roserade into red HP, while its retaliatory Extrasensory also put Acrobat into the red, contrary to Emile's expectations. Although Cynthia used a Full Restore, Acrobat's next Wing Attack undid the restoration before his third Wing Attack KO'd the Rose Pokémon. Emile then switched out Acrobat in favor of Vanity when Cynthia sent out her Togekiss.

After Emile won the battle, Acrobat and the rest of his team were entered into the Sinnoh Hall of Fame.

Bonus 3: Regirock, Regice, & Registeel[]

Acrobat did not physically appear in any of the Regi encounters or on the Pokétch screen.

Nickname Origin[]

Acrobat is a pun, given how "Crobat" is in the word "Acrobat". Acrobat's nickname was suggested by tons of fans. However, Emile personally acknowledged "YFYGuy" and "stegonx" on Twitter, and "Riz Kit" on YouTube, whom Emile first saw the suggestions from. Emile initially hesitated on using "Acrobat" for a nickname since the move Acrobatics wasn't introduced until Generation V, meaning he couldn't use the move alongside Acrobat having that nickname.

Honorable Mentions[]

  • Batman/Zubatman: Emile knew Batman references would be common suggestions.
  • Flutterbat: Possible reference to Fluttershy's bat transformation in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
  • Nosferatu: A word that is synonymous with vampires.
  • Vang: A reference to the batlike enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles.
  • X-Wing: A reference to the X-Wing starfighters in Star Wars. Crobat has four wings, giving it an X shape.
